"I love you really much"

Okay, so I am faced with the fact that I am a Terrible, Rotten, No Good, Horrible blogging mom!  I had such high hopes, and failed miserably. My last post was 10 months ago...

So many times a week, I tell a story about one of the boys to Dave, a family member or other friends, and I hear, "You really need to write that down so you don't forget it!"  I have to admit that several times a month I click on my own blog just to make sure that it still exists and I'm always sad that I haven't been keeping up.

Here is a picture of Jacob (5) and Levi (3) from this summer.

A little while back Dave and I realized Levi's "love language"...meaning the primary way he shows and receives love.  He is a WORDS OF AFFIRMATION kind of man...well as much of a man as you can be at 3 years old.  A couple of months ago, Dave put in a new ceiling fan, and for weeks after that Levi would come in our room and say, "I love your fan."  The same week as the new ceiling fan, our neighborhood had arranged a bulk trash pickup and Dave and I were hauling junk from under the deck out to the curb.  Levi saw us and asked, "Whatcha doin?"  I said, "Oh, we're just making a special trash pile."  Without skipping a beat, Levi said, "I love your special trash pile!!"

He has a compliment about everything and has the most sensitive heart.  He goes around all day saying, "Mommy, I love you really much!"  He just melts my heart and I'm so happy to have him in my life.

Jacob is our inquisitive boy with boundless energy and excitement and a love for life.  His love language is TIME....he just wants to be with you and have your attention.  At bedtime we have the greatest talks and the two of us have started to play "High / Low," where we talk about the best and worst part of our day.  Tonight he told me that he didn't have any low's, but he had 10 highs!  He wants to be a "shooter pilot" (aka fighter pilot) when he grows up and he loves playing a flight simulator game that Dave has.

I feel so blessed to have these two boys in my life!

Proudly displaying their best "bubble beards!"

Check back tomorrow for a new post...okay, okay, make that 10 months!
